After their ship is caught in a mysterious storm, the PAW Patrol pups crash onto an uncharted tropical island inhabited by dinosaurs. There, they meet Rex, a pup who has been stranded on the island for years and has become a dinosaur expert.

When Mayor Humdinger, the PAW Patrol’s sworn enemy, launches a reckless mining operation in hopes of exploiting the island’s natural resources, he inadvertently triggers the eruption of a massive dormant volcano. The PAW Patrol pups are then thrust into a series of perilous rescues on an unprecedented scale, as they must stop Humdinger before all life on the island is wiped out.
